It's the FINAL PROGRAMME

With much ado and after the input of a WHOLE BUNCH of people, here's the FINAL Programme for VillainCon.

(Of course there is ALWAYS a chance of last minute updates, but we'll see what we can do on the day to alert you to those)

Cue Music...

Programme Nearing completion!

The Programme is nearing Completion! All MAJOR panel items are now in, and although there will undoubtedly be some shuffles, they will most likely be small changes not major ones. I still have a small handful of 1/2 hour programme slots if you want to do ANYTHING! It doesn't HAVE to be Villain themed. It just has to appeal to the Programmer!

If you are planning on coming to VillainCon and want to pay at the door...

If you are definitely coming to VillianCon, but can't afford to pay straight away, drop me a line and we'll work something out. It's better for me to have names and details BEFORE the convention than have you all rock up on the day and overload my Front Desk :-)

I'm steadily finishing up the programme, which I hope to finish this weekend, so if you have a good idea for an item, please e-mail me and I'll stick it right in!

Things! Stuff!

Sorry for the delay in getting stuff up here. Been meaning to but post con stuff keeps getting in the way. Anyway, have a REALLY EARLY "draft" programme. This is more ideas than actual panels.
  • Before I kill you Mr Bond
  • How to destroy the world (with examples)
  • Future hazards
  • The role of minions
  • Great villains in... (this I see as a series of panels of half an hour each)
  • Is it all about the wardrobe?
  • Build your own atomic bomb
  • How to kill your hero
  • If I REALLY ruled the world... (or how to deal with strong jawed defenders of justice)
  • When the heroes go bad
  • When the villains go good
  • The boomerang factor - risen from the dead
  • The OTHER Phoenix effect: when your hero becomes a Deus Ex Machina.
  • The chainmail bikini and villainess costume.
  • Evil laughs 101

Introducing our National Guest of Honor

VillainCon is proud to announce Grant Watson is our National Guest of Honor.

Grant Watson is a playwright, actor, director, critic and fan, but not necessarily in that order. He is a two-time winner of the William Atheling Jr Award for SF Criticism and Review and a multiple recipient of the Ditmar and Tin Duck awards. In 2010 his political thriller Cry Havoc was awarded Best New Play at the Perth Theatre Trust Guild Equity Awards. His other plays include Degree Absolute, Serpentine and adaptations of Richard III, King Lear and Frankenstein. He can currently be found talking about film at The Angriest blog, Eiga: Asian Cinema, and on his shamefully irregular Bad Film Diaries podcast. In 2011 he celebrates his 20th anniversary in organised science fiction fandom.

Welcome aboard Grant. Release the Flying Monkeys!
